St Clare's isn't an overly selective school. Despite this fact, its pupils consistently achieve a high points score in their IB - in 2023, the St Clare's IB average was 36 points out of a total 45, six points higher than the world average. A lot of this is down to the school's first rate teaching.

90% of pupils board. The school has 15 boarding houses that are all within a 10-minute walking distance from school. The '121' house is brand-new and stunning, housing pupils in double rooms. The other houses are converted Victorian villas with spacious rooms and double and single rooms as needed.
Exeat weekends exist but are not compulsory.

Pupils have a lot of freedom here, yet with very clear and strictly enforced rules. This allows pupils to safely explore everything that university town Oxford has to offer. Also, it optimally prepares pupils for a life after school.
The downside of being an international school is that St Clare's has relatively few British pupils.
