Blundells School is known for its strong sports. Rugby and hockey are especially good here. Notable mentions go to the school's football, squash, kayaking, sailing and cross-country running as well as a heated outdoor pool.
Music and drama are both very strong here. The school has its own orchestra, several choirs and many school bands. The new music department sports a state-of-the-art recording studio. Drama happens at the school's Ondaatje Hall and sees workshops with Spanish, French and German theatre groups - we love this!
Blundells School has a very warm, friendly and refreshingly down-to-earth atmosphere compared to schools closer to London - very befitting of the famed Westcountry hospitality!
Some of Blundells School boarding houses were a little in need of an upgrade when we were there a year ago. We were told, however, that budget had been allocated for a revamp.
