Strathallan School

Strathallan School is a very friendly, happy school. It is relatively informal and one gets the sense that staff and pupils get along extremely well. The teachers are reknowned to be very supportive; the school food is great; there are extensive sports options on offer with rugby, hockey, tennis, canoeing and swimming particularly strong. The school also offers dance, golfing, fencing, squash, football and many more activities.

The Academics:

A-Levels and GCSEs on offer.

Strathallan School is fairly non-selective, yet achieved a very respectable 33% A grades at A-Levels and 33% 9-7 grades at GCSEs in 2023.

The school is known for its amazing academic support. Most teachers live onsite and are more than happy to tutor struggling pupils after school finishes.

Language-wise there is German, French, Spanish and Latin on offer.

Boarding:

60% of pupils board.

The school has seven modern boarding houses with day and boarding pupils sharing the houses during the day. The accomodation isn't special, but in good condition.

No exeat weekends!

Strengths:

Strathallan School's sports is truly outstanding, possibly the best in breadth and consistency of any school in Scotland. Especially noteworthy are the rugby, football, tennis, hockey, skiing, netball, swimming, shooting (clay and small bore), fencing, golf (own course) and sailing.

We love the school's wonderful, eclectic art school - three floors of unfettered creativity that produces some truly inspiring work!

Strathallan School is a happy school with a great atmosphere! Teachers are enormously supportive; houseparents ensure that pupils are doing well and are happy.

Oh, and the food? Amazing!
