Stonar School is doing well academically, as evidenced by 31% of pupils achieving 9-7 at GCSEs and 30% achieving As at A-Level.
The school is moderately selective. Interviews and admissions tests are required.
Approximately 45% of pupils board full time. The boarders are housed in three boarding accomodations. 6th Form girls live in "York", 6th Form boys live in "Hart". Girls in the years 5-11 live in "Ganbrook". All boarding houses are in decent condition.
Pupils live in single, double and three-bed rooms. Each house is looked after by very caring house parents. Every house has kitchens complete with cooking equipment and healthy snacks. Pupils have access to a 24-hour medial center, looked after by a nurse.
Stonar does not have exeat week-ends. Nor is there school classes on Saturdays. Pupils are free to make use of the school's excellent extracurricular activities on week-ends or participate in the school's non-obgligatory week-end events, which include regular trips to Bath.
