Bromsgrove School definitely holds its own academically. In 2024, its GCSE results yielded 62% 9-7 grades, its A-Levels 60% A-grades and an IB average of 38.9 points. Due to the school's provision of the vocational BTecs, there's something for everyone academically.
Languages on offer are German, Spanish, French, Latin and Mandarin.The school is known for especially strong geography and politics teaching.
55% of pupils board, with most boarding being full. Boarding accomodation is up to date, if a little impersonal. Boarding houses are divided into house families with older pupils taking younger ones under their wings.

Bromsgrove School's undeniable strength is its strong sports provision, often ranking it among the top 5 sports schools in the UK. Especially strong are rugby, hockey, swimming and tennis, but there is a very large range of excellent sports on offer.
The IB is going from strength to strength here with an amazing 40 point average in 2021. The academic inclusiveness, however, will offer something to everyone.
Visits to Bromsgrove School can sometimes feel a little rushed. The school has promised to work on this though.
