And what about the Scottish accent? Honestly, it was far less challenging than many people expect. During our visit, we had no difficulty understanding any of the teachers or the Head. Only one of the house matrons spoke with a particularly strong Scottish accent. But her incredibly warm and welcoming personality quickly made us forget any language barrier.
New Hall School: Versatile, Modern and Within Easy Reach of London
Just 45 minutes from London, New Hall School impresses with its extensive campus, where historic buildings blend seamlessly with state-of-the-art facilities. From its professional theatre and outstanding sports complex to its own school farm, the campus feels almost like a small village. Lessons regularly take place outdoors in the spacious parkland and surrounding woodland.
Sport plays a central role in everyday school life. As one of the UK’s most successful sporting schools, New Hall’s teams compete at regional, national and international level. Alongside its renowned Swimming Academy, the school offers excellent opportunities in rugby, hockey, football, tennis, equestrian sports and many other disciplines.
