St Edward's School Oxford is one of the few major English boarding schools that is located in a city. And what a city to be in! Oxford as a city sports a cultural-, academic- and sporting program that few other towns bar the really big ones can rival. Pupils are allowed to make use of this, especially in the more senior years.
The school's sports offer is strong, especially the rowing, cricket and golf. The facilities are excellent too, with a modern gym the school shares with the local community.
St Edward's School Oxford co-curricular offer is very strong and spans excellent art, drama, music and other activities. The school's North Wall Arts Centre boasts a professional theatre with a popular public programme,an art gallery and a dance studio. The £7m Ogston Music School completes Teddies' own cultural quarter in Oxford with a recital room, a rock room and a recording studio. Art and DT offers four purpose-built studios, a dark room, a ceramics studio, a laser cutter and etching and silk screen printing equipment.
St Edward's School Oxford, like most schools in proximity to economic hubs, has its fair share of rich kids, some with arguably too much pocket money at their disposal.
