Bournemouth Collegiate School
Bournemouth, England
Bournemouth Collegiate School is located on the south coast of England – just a few minutes from the beach, right in the heart of the well-known seaside town of Bournemouth. The school is small, personal, and well run – everyone knows each other. The sports program is especially well received, with the school’s own Football Academy being a particular favorite among many of our pupils.

Strengths & Weaknesses
Strengths
Bournemouth Collegiate School offers a strong sports programme. With five established academies in swimming, football, rugby, rowing, and netball, BCS provides genuine opportunities for sporty and ambitious pupils to develop their talents.
Those who join an academy benefit from a well-structured support programme. At the same time, the school embraces the motto “Sport for all.”
The atmosphere at Bournemouth Collegiate School is refreshingly down-to-earth and friendly – especially compared to some of the more highbrow boarding schools around London. Thanks to its relatively small size, everyone knows everyone, which creates a very family-like feel.
Weaknesses
We’d love to see more boarders at BCS. The school puts a great deal of effort into integrating boarding and day pupils, and it shows.
Location
Bournemouth Collegiate School is located in the coastal town of Bournemouth – known for its long sandy beaches, sea air, and classic British holiday atmosphere.
Southhampton - 1 hr by train
Looking for a seaside school? The BCS Senior School is just a two-minute walk from Southbourne Cliff, and the beach is part of the school grounds. It doesn’t get better than that.
The location! Who wouldn’t want to see the sea first thing in the morning when opening the curtains? One of the school’s major attractions is the beautiful, miles-long beach right on its doorstep.
