von Bülow Education's Top 5 British Boarding Schools for Golf
Hello from sunny Oxfordshire,
At von Bülow Education, we regularly get asked by parents, which schools are especially good at something. Often this is a particular sport or creative pursuit.
Very frequently our families talk about a child's interest in golf. So, today we will introduce you to English and Scottish boarding schools that offer world-class golf facilities and tuition.
At this point, we'd like to point out that these schools don't only offer excellent golf, but excel in many other areas also, including the academic side of things.
We present the schools in no particular order.

1. Loretto School
OK, we take the bit about 'no particular order' back for this one: Loretto School is the Nr. 1 golf school on the island - if not the whole of Europe! Loretto's golf academy has state-of-the-art facilities and very dedicated, professional golf teachers.
At von Bülow we placed three pupils - real golf aficionados - here last year, all of whom sung Loretto's golf programme's praises!

2. Bradfield College
The Bradfield College is a very sporty school. It's golf, however is stellar. Sporting its own 9-hole golf course it is currently in serious contention to beat Loretto in the U18 school golf championships.
Max, a 6th-former we helped place at Bradfield last year, recently raved about the school's golf programme.

3. Millfield School
Millfield School has always been the sporting powerhouse of the UK. No other school produces as many internationally successful sports professionals and olympic gold medalists as Millfield.
The school's onsite facilities are excellent and include three putting greens (one artificial), a nine hole pitch and putt course, specialist short game area, a 350 yard long driving range and an indoor Huxley putting green. In addition golfers receive indoor coaching using V1 video analysis to further assist their development.

4. St Leonard's School
St Leonards School is based in St Andrews, Scotland. Four years ago the school started collaborating with the legendary St Andrews Golf Club, which is 10 minutes on foot from the school. This has put St Leonard's firmly on the map for top-notch golf.

5. Charterhouse School
Charterhouse School close to London is what we at von Bülow Education call a classic all-rounder boarding school - academic excellence paired with breadth and depth in sporting-, creative- and social pursuits.
While more known for excellent football and cricket, Charterhouse also offers an excellent golf programme. The Halford Hewitt Golf Course is a 9-hole, par 34 course occupying approximately 30 acres of the Charterhouse campus.
Our current 6th-Former Jill took up golf at Charterhouse last year and loves it!
