Roedean School is a selective school, so the grades of applying girls need to be good. Roedean School is doing very well academically: in 2023 74% of GCSE grades were 9-7 and 55.5% A*-A at A-Levels. That puts Roedean safely into the top 50 schools in the UK.

Thanks to a £9mio redevelopment of its four main boarding houses, Roedean School has some of the most beautiful, stylish accomodation of any boarding school in the UK. The girls share rooms with one or two others.
The weekends are spent on shopping trips to nearby Brighton, cultural trips to London, a local sports event or simply relaxing with a book at school.
Exeat weekends exist but are not compulsory.

Drama is another forte - the 320-capacity theatre sees three major, high-quality drama productions a year, as well as countless house productions. LAMDA drama coaching is on offer.
There is a broad range of sports on offer, with a golf-course, indoor swimming pool, dance studios and brand new sports pitches.
With single-sex boarding less popular with British families, the beds are increasingly filled with girls from overseas. 40% of girls are from outside the UK, which dilutes the British character of the school somewhat.
